I, too, have felt complicated emotions arise from outfit pictures. I'm still mentally stuck in the social media frame of mind when it comes to outfit pics, but hopefully that will change one day.
I really loved the campaigns by Venetia Scott too, so cinematic. Don’t think they’ve been quite the same since.
I still struggle to not delete the “bad” photos! It helps me to really sit with what exactly I dislike about it…although I wouldn’t advise doing this if the photo makes one feel truly bad about oneself.
I found your substack about a year ago and your silhouette work, the tight color story, the ‘line’ of your outfits has been what’s lived in MY head rent free ever since. Thank you for sharing the photos 😄
Thank you 😊! I do find taking outfit photos (not necessarily to post) quite helpful in figuring out a go-to outfit, once you’be accumulated enough photos.
